Project 365 ~ Week 43

Another whirlwind week with Sacred Suzie visiting, so I'm going to overdo it on the pictures again. We started the second week of Suzie's visit by meeting up with Shannon, the Movie Moxie, and going to Mirageman at Toronto After Dark.

Then we went out with Spooky Suzie for tapas.

On Sunday we had big fun getting a start on our altered books. We gessoed and painted and glued and sparkled. Overall the big lesson was to let go, experiment and see what happens. Fun!

And nothing will make a Monday brighter than going out to Mama Mia with the women in your life!
Tuesday was a big work day for me and Suzie went out visiting, so it was a quiet day at home.
Wednesday was a very special day as Suzie and I danced together at Nia! It's been a long, long time since we've been in a class like this together and it was a joy to remember what a beautiful dancer my sister is.

Thursday we took the day and went down to the Beaches. We went out for breakfast and then down to the boardwalk and the beach.
Being by the water does wonders for Suzie. Inspiration and magic were in the air (well, in the water actually)

On Friday the three sisters went to see I Sell the Dead, the closing night gala at After Dark. Yes, we saw zombies!

Then up early Saturday for a yearly tradition that's gone on for more than 2 decades - The Auction. It was so wonderful to have Suzie here for this event, especially since rumour has it that it may be the last one.

Every year there is such a variety of items up for auction - furniture, huge lots of luggage, paintings, sewing machines, punch bowls, slide screens, lamps... you name it.

We always have fun.

As well as the main auction, there is a white elephant sale, a bake sale, clothing, cds and a tea room. We came home with some great stuff this year. Jinx certainly thinks so.

We were totally exhausted but when we checked the weather we saw some cold coming and I was worried about a peony in my garden that I wanted to move. Suddenly we were out there doing some yardwork, including making the tough decision to remove our raspberry bush because it was truly taking over. Needless to say we all conked out watching a movie later. We'd really reached the end of our energy by Saturday.

How was your week? Project 365 is my attempt to capture a year in my life through a photograph a day. On Saturday's I'll post the week's pics. At the end of the year, I'll create a video of all these precious moments. Feel free to participate at any time. Yours can be Project 347 or Project 292. It's up to you.
