She's Beautiful!

Well we almost didn't make it to Haley's Spring Musical. She's been home sick..fever/sore throat. She was actually in tears because her throat was bothering her so much and the thought that she was going to miss her first musical in which she had a solo I think upset her more. So at the last minute..armed with tylenol, sore throat medicine and throat lozenges..she did it. And really say it...isn't she just the most beautiful thing ever? As Scott said..I have the shotgun ready and loaded!LOL

Be sure to click on this next picture...it's a wower!

Despite not feeling well at all...she did a beautiful job! And Connor was right..she did sing the best! Hopefully I can figure out how to add the video!

She's truly beautiful!!!!!!! (thanks for allowing complete bragginess!)

Wishful

Is it wrong to wish that these signs could actually be used at my house and really point to what they say? I mean pool is a very loose term when at this current house it describes a three foot by 9 foot pool..and well beach..well does the sand in my shadowbox I brought back from Cancun count?LOL

It would be very cool though if they did really point to what I really wish they did..maybe some day!

And then maybe someday this will be the next Albert Pujols of the Cardinals..

“If things do not turn out as we wish, we should wish for them as they turn out.” quote by Aristotle

Nothing wrong with wishes! I wish for you a great day!

Proud Mom

Well I can help but boast and brag..Connor came home with a certificate that he had made the honor roll!!! The smile on his face was HUGE HUGE HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even say how proud I am of him. He is quite the kid..sorry..young man really as he is almost my size! For a bit there in 3rd grade and some of 4th..I just didn't think we'd ever see this day...but he had gotten his confidence back and it's shows!

Here's some insanely funny pics I got of Connor and Haley the other day...

Connor...you're amazing, awesome, funny and we're so happy to see you achieve this for yourself!!!!

Easter Goodies

Wow..it was busy..but fun. We were so fortunate to have amazing weather for Easter! The kids were anxious to see what the Easter Bunny had left them..which the tradition is..the EBunny always leaves their baskets on the front porch. So they were really really anxious to get out there and see everything. Here's a shot of that..

then got them all to sit down and show me their favorite item the Easter Bunny had left. And can I say a HUGE thanks to Gap for making the cool orange hats! I have been looking and looking for cool orange ones for the boys since that is their favorite color!

then it was time to get dressed..everyone in yellow and aquas...and yes...that is silly me in the reflection..can you say edit!LOL

then it was time for everyone to come over..time for the big egg hunt...and crazy picture taking..

is this picture of her hair amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then it was time to try out some of the goodies the Easter Bunny left. Parker tried out the new bubble thing...it's very cool...makes huge bubbles..

Haley with her new Tamagotchi...

and one more cool one of Parker..

all in all...a very fun Easter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOWOW

WOW! Yep..that's my highly intelligent word for the day to describe my life the past few days. It's a wow kind of thing.

Started with Friday doing Make n Takes at the show, getting a call from Stacey with Paper Salon asking me to join the team..I think I had tears in my eyes..it was too unreal. Then spotted Elsie Flannigan on the floor and she knew me from my email..so nice!!!!

Then Saturday spent most of the day helping Elsie..just love her! Wishing terribly I could go to the ScrapETC event with the other Blue Crew girls and take classes with Elsie, Cathy Z and Heidi and I think Carrie Colbert as well! So sad about that! Elsie..if you need an assistant..holler..I am free!lol

She's just too fun ..made me feel like I have known her forever..which know is silly..but such a great feeling with somone. And I now really want to take one her own classes..which she is supposed to come back to St.Louis in July and Elsie the offer stands!!! We'd have fun! I promise!LOL

Then I did get to TA with Donna as well. OMG she is a riot! Her class flew by and sadly I only had one with her..wanted more! Loved the class..loved her spunk and got a picture with her and Becky from Cropper's Cottage..but shoot..no one got one of just me and Donna..so I will have to pester her next time I see her!LOL

Then I got to TA with Stacy Croninger with Paper Crafts! Talk about a great lady and teaches a great bunch of classes. Really well done..and she is so so nice..and was thoughtful and donated the new issue of PCrafts for our dinner Saturday night. Thank you Stacy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After that..back for more with Elsie. Had so much fun..Carma with CK..you are so nice..let me know when I can come visit you in Utah!!! Found out after my class that I had won 2nd place in the Simple Scrapbook layout contest..that is too fun..got some more goodies..

then yes there is a then..headed to dinner to meet lots of great ladies from the St. Louis area for dinner. We had a really good time..although my steam was depleting by then!

So thanks everyone..CK, Paper Salon, Elsie, Donna, CindyB, Simple Scrapbooks, Spencer for the bracelet, Mary Jo and all the gals at dinner for making it a great great 2 days for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And lastly..thanks to 3Bugs for making me feel ever more amazing with the Honorable Mention!WOW! See..that does best describe it!

Feet in the Sand

One of the titles of one of my favorite layouts..feet in the sand. There is something so absolutely amazing about sand to me. The texture, feel, coolness, gritty..but I have these memories of sitting on the beach and burying my feet into the sand and just wiggling them around under the mound of sand. There is something about that sensation that I just can't describe other than heavenly. I also love when you first step onto the bed and your feet sink in..and the first few steps you walk sort of weird..but then you get the hang of it and trodge along..loving how it feels under your feet..it's amazing!!!!!!!!

This weekend Parker was treated to his own bit of heaven. When I got up Saturday I could tell it was one of those amazing days..you know..the perfect temp..clear skies..light to little breeze..everything just right. and I knew immediately that Parker would want to be outside..I mean who wouldn't. But...yes..but..I knew his sandbox was empty and that is his favorite thing to play in. So I asked Scott to run to the store for some of the beachy sand for him.

Well, let's just say..Scott got home at 10:30 am with it..and Parker didn't get out until after 5pm! Yes...really! That long! He was in absolute heaven..moving it, sifting it, playing in it, molding it..so funny that something as simple as sand can bring equal joy to both me and Parker.

Here's some pics I caught of him having a bit of heaven...

So tell me..what do you love about sand?
