Point of Clarification

Benjamin Gustav of Boston, whose arrival was announced in yesterday's post and who will be celebrated for years to come, is not another new grandchild of mine.

His paternal grandmom, his farmor, if you're Swedish, is Carol, my friend of only thirty years.

My grandchildren are Elijah Boo of Alexandria, Virginia, Nathaniel Joseph of Richmond, Virginia, and Caroline Maria and Samuel Eugene, of Not Terribly Far From Philadelphia.
