Hello everyone! I'm linking this post to Funky Junk Interior's SNS. Donna hosts some fabulous DIY link parties every week, and this week's theme is "old windows." Head on over there to ooh, ahh, and drool over all the incredible talent! After doing some drooling myself I decided to post about the mini garden greenhouse that I made for JF '08. This piece was purchased by a local retail shop owner who uses it for her store displays. I just happen to be in one of her stores today where the greenhouse is being displayed, so I snapped a few pics to show you.
I was inspired to make this after seeing it on another blog a LONG time ago. I wish I could remember which blog, so I could give credit where due, but like I said...it was a long time ago.
Since the theme for the link party was old windows, I grabbed another couple shots to share with you. LeAnn, the owner of The Garden Gate (with stores in Carrington, Jamestown, and Devils Lake!) has MAD merchandising skills, which is evident in these photos. Below, she uses several windows, along with chippy spindles on top of a shelving unit. Drop-dead gorgeous against the brick wall!!
Below is a shot of my greenhouse as it sat prior to the madness of the '08 sale. I have since seen so many versions of these greenhouses......some you'll even see over at Funky Junk Interiors. I love them all! Heck, maybe I'll even make one for myself!
Looks MUCH better in the store, don't you think?
