Crafting Crafting and more...yes...Crafting!

That seems to be all I do lately aside from work..which I love ...but sometimes you have to craft when you don't want to. And other times you want to but can't!LOL Since the kids went back to school is has been harder to find time to craft and craft for me...not for work.

That makes no sense though does it? I work for a scrapbook company and rarely have time to scrapbook and craft for me! But it's true really and I don't mind it but often I just want to sit and play with things...so because I needed to make a gift for a friend.. I got to do just that!

I had made a similar item when I was with Paper Salon...and knew at somepoint I would remake it again...and I have to say...this one is infinitely better! I used Basic Grey papers and chipboard, Petaloo flowers and bee, Bo Bunny ribbon and flower, butterfly from Michael's, Stickles, Pink Paislee alphabet stickers, Fiskars border bunches and Robin's Nest gems. Oh and a wood hanger from Target's dollar bin!

then after working on that project....which they loved...it was time to work on some Halloween projects for the store in Kimmswick that carries my crafts....Kimmswick Korner! Shouts out to Kristen and Jodi!

and a bucket and star set....I love these...this one uses Scenic Route papers, Glitter Mist, and these fun felt glittery spiders and glittery black dots I found at Hobby Lobby.

I took several of these to Kimmswick Korner to sell...hope they do well...I know I love mine that I put out and hang! And every year someone compliments me on my treat bucket when I hold it out for the kids!

Busy weekend again...seems to be the way of our life lately! And to add to the busyness...I'm headed to the ScrapFest event with Bo Bunny this week! Teaching for them and helping with the make n takes and crop and more at the Mall of America! I'm so excited to go as I've asked for a few years..sad Kris can't go...but I'm so excited my buddy Misty is. We'll be talking about Twilight and New Moon I imagine quite a bit!

Last for today...soooooo incredibly sad True Blood ended for the season last night!

Not sure what I'll do without my True Blood fix till next year! I might have to reread the series again. I got my hair done Saturday and my gal Tyra and I were talking about it and what on earth we'll do without True Blood, Hung and Entourage on Sunday night. True Blood though to me is the pinnacle of all their shoes with Soprano's, Sex and the City, Six Feet Under and Deadwood following behind.

This season...wow! It was definitely and eye opener!LOL Marianne added quite a jolt to the story line!LOL Barry is now there..the other telepath...and Sookie is finding out she's not sure if she's what she thinks. We know what she is...but as with the show..they embellish and add to things to juice it up a bit. Or alot we should say with this season and all the craziness..I'll miss my weekly fix of Sookie, Bill and Eric!!!! YUM Hurry back soon!!

I'll be back...still need to post some Disney pics...here's what Parker has been playing with daily since we got back.. the Lego store at Downtown Disney..fun!

and one that is just cute! Trying on a Stitch hat after riding the Stitch ride and grabbing a popsicle to cool off!
So that's all for today...I'll be back next time I hope with Disney pics...maybe I can sort those on the plane ride!LOL Knowing me...not!

Be sure to pop in the Bo Bunny Blog...it's Christmas time don't you know?!

How About Some Jewelry?

My brain has been filled with jewelry lately. First the Lia Sophia party I had and all their beautiful and fun jewelry. Then to the glass pendants I have been busy making. I've seen many people selling them on Etsy and thought why can't I do them? Some of the designs I have seen, just don't appeal to me...so I thought..I'll make some. Here's a link to my Etsy page:

http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5073806

The funny thing is when I started looking for designs for the jewelry I was inspired by some of my favorite movies or actors/actresses. The one above is aptly named Chocolat. Doesn't it just feel like the Johnny Depp/Juliet Binoche movie? Others in my store are 50 First Dates, Pretty In Pink and Love Actually. Each movie definitely makes me smile though...so maybe that a good thing for jewelry too!

And then it perfectly tied in with my friend Kim. She just recently created a new website called STL Mommy. It's all about couponing, saving money, freebies, deal and more! She's doing an amazing job and for anyone in the St.Louis and surrounding area..it's really a must go to site. The freebies and other deals though are great for anyone...anywhere! Today she posted a free code for Redbox...so I sent Scott out for the new Indiana Jones movie. We'll make sure the kids get their homework done early and have a family movie night for free! How nice is that. Thanks Kim!

The exciting news is that her website was found online at the local Channel 5 MomslikeMe website and they came out to interview her about her website. It's going to be shown on the Channel 5 news tonight on the 10pm newscast! So be sure to check that out tonight or go on their website tomorrow!

Here's a link to Kim's site:

Last...got to see the new Bond movie and it definitely did not disappoint. I honestly like Daniel Craig as bond. He's a bit more gritty, handsome in a different way then Pierce was. Built fantastic...has amazing blue eyes and I love his accent too.

And anyone who knows me knows I have quite a thing for cars and especially anthing that starts with...Astin Martin. And guns aren't too bad either! I'd give it a B+!

Last be sure to check out the Bo Bunny Blog. Today's post showcases the Beautiful Life collection and I'll be drawing another winner from the comments from this week. Here's a sneak of the basket I made using the line...

That's it for today...

We're Having Fun Now....

Getting all the decorations out for Halloween! We've been putting up things it feels like each day. This year we've added just a couple little things. Nothing big. But everyone comments on how good it all looks. I'll post some pictures on Friday to share with all the decorations.

Monday on the Bo Bunny blog we shared some ideas for Home Decor. And yes..I made some! I had picked up this nightlight in Target's Dollar bin over the summer knowing I would use it at some point. Well that point is now!

TADA!!! One fun..easy but oh so spooky nightlight!

I like this picture.

See that kooky dude next to the nightlight. Well he sits next to it in the guest bathroom and well Parker does NOT like it at all! Everytime he goes in there it startles him. So now he turns it around to face the wall! Very funny! His eyes glows and flash and you can turn the sound on and he moves around. The other day Parker didn't realize I had turned it on and he went to use the bathroom and about jumped out of his skin!HAHHA

In addition to the nightlight..I made one of my Treat Buckets. It's actually the third Treat Bucket and about the 7th or 8th just decorated bucket. I do think this one is my favorite one!

You can see more of it and the other gals amazing projects on the Bo Bunny Blog! Click the link on the top left!

And I have to share this picture with you..it's Haley on the left and a friend!

Haley was in the Haunted House at Parker's school Fall Festival. They called it the Dance of the Dead. She looked pretty gross I'll say that! They did an awesome job on the Haunted House too! I think she had alot of fun..I'll share more pics on Friday.

One last thing today..October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Today we have a post up at Bo Bunny sharing some cards and inviting you to join us...please take a moment to go there!

Enough With The Rain!

Gesh..enough with the rain already! We've been hit by a huge storm system that has truly caused areas to flood and sadly some areas around St.Louis had to evacuate due to rivers rising. Crazy weather! I heard the words "El Nino" effects mentioned on the nation news. Well El Nino can hit the road. I can only imagine how lovely the ground will be for Easter. Let's hope for some sunny days to help absorb it a bit. Or the poor kids will be in a mud egg hunt!

With Easter this weekend..hard to believe..trying to get my act together for the kids baskets(shhh) and of course get all the supplies to make the desserts to take to my Grandma's house. Can I just say how thankful I am to not be having it this year. I am just not up for a house crowd of people here and then to work the next day. It's alot! So it will be nice this year not to host..but to just bring! We're bringing my famous Poppyseed Bread and cupcakes for the kids. But really..I'll be having a cupcake. They're my favorites too. More so then cake!

And I know I am certainly not alone with the cupcake thing. Cupcakes have now become quite the rage with now sweet stores dedicated to only cupcakes in cities like Chicago. I hope St.Louis jumps on this!

I've been busy scrapping. The creative bug has bitten so I'm taking full advantage of it and trying to get some new things created. One item I made is a decorated bucket. I've been making these for a while for friends. They've hired me to do Princess ones, Sports, Fairies...this latest one is for a friend of a friend. She decided to go with bright, fun colors and I think it's my favorite one I've made to date. They're used from everything from trashcans to fun ways to carry around dolls and barbies. And yes..I am available for hire.

And last for today we got to see another movie..this one the big Academy Award winner. No Country For Old Men...starring Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardeem and suprisingly..Woody Harrelson has a part.

It was a good movie..although honestly nothing sensational. I questioned why it was the big winner. At times..a bit gross..gross when I know even Scott is cringing and I am covering my eyes saying..tell me when it's done. This is of course from shootings..bullet wounds. The story revolves around a drug exchange gone bad. And an innocent man seeing his chance at grabbing some money and making a stupid mistake that causes his life to unravel. I'd give it a B. I think often this style movie can get repetitive..however I liked the cast and the pace of the movie.

So that's it for today..thankfully as I am writing this the rain has ended!
