We were really blessed with amazingly beautiful weather for our Easter. Possibly even dare we say a bit hot?!
I really can't complain though given I hosted Easter and had the egg hunt here. We had sunny, warm weather...which is so nice. Great as we could have family eat out on our deck too given I don't have a dining room large enough to seat 20+ people!LOL
The only bad thing...it was windy and Scott had put out our market umbrella and the wind snapped it and broke one of the supports. And worse as it happened once before and broke it at the same darn spot which I don't think now is fixable. Bummer...we tend to have a bit of bad luck with umbrellas!!! When we lived in Chicago...the same umbrella was lifted out of the table and thrown up on the roof of our house. It was nuts and yes...it broke the umbrella...so we went and got the same kind. Maybe I need to look at another type!lol
I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who participated in the hope and left a comment! I was completely blown away by all of your amazing posts. I can't thank you enough and hope I'll see many of your faces around the blog. I am on TV here in St.Louis once a month and normally work up many projects based around a theme...Easter, Halloween etc. I also contribute craft ideas for my local paper...the St.Louis Post Dispach and have a Mother's Day project coming up for them.
Hopefully I can provide some inspiration and ideas! And it seems you LOVED the topiary project! Thanks for all the wonderful comments. When I interviewed with the newspaper editor I mentioned that it would be beautiful on a wedding reception table or without the post and sitting in containers. I actually designed, when I was getting married, balls of flowers simliar to this that my flower girls carried. They had long satins ribbons attached as a handle and they carried these beautiful "flower balls" down the aisle. The guests all commented on them. I guess I have a thing for these!lol
As for the flowers...I practiced on 3 or so before I found my "style". I left some unbent while others I really crimped up, inked....the shimmer sprays would be beautiful too! Be sure to share if you make on...I would love to see yours!
Last before I let you go and announce the blog hop winner....I wanted to share a new layout I made with the Bo Bunny Sophie collection and a sweet picture of Haley. {please forgive the flower bent in scanning}. This collection was one of my favorites from our last release! For more project and ideas do visit the Bo Bunny blog!
Okay now onto our blog winner....the random winner of the Jazmyne and Fiskars prize is:
