Optimus Prime Papercraft

This model was downloaded from paper-replika.com, designed by Julius Perdana. Consist of 5 released parts, and i ve made 4 of them(I hope i can make the fifth in couple weeks later). They are Head and Part 2a-2c. I made this Optimus long time ago, and i m not really satisfied with the result. Couple weeks ago i made an amelioration of my Optimus Prime. It is impossible for me to make another Optimus!!It needs many papers and the most important thing was, it will spent my time a lot...

The amelioration was started with the body, since the color is not printed correctly, i painted it with water based color paint. It was so difficult (with my lack painting ability) and inefficent thing, but i think i ve made it :). I strengthtened the body by adding some rolled and thick paper. I need my Optimus stand for many years later.

The body was ameliorated, but how was the head?It was immposible to repair my Optimus's head. I made a lot of mistakes when i built the head, so i made the new one. Fully painted, and believe it or not, the new one is "limited waterproof". I think combination of water based color paint and clear aerosol spray make it.

Another awesome and free model from paper-replika.com, this is Optimus Prime papercraft (head). It was designed by Julius Perdana, an Indonesian papercraft designer who also hosted paper-replika.com. Its head, has Nine pages, consist of 8 pattern pages and 1 cover page. It has been released with complete instruction on it's site, so i didnt have any worry when i decided to build it. Printed on 190 gsm ivory paper with canon pixma 1300 printer, the color was not printed correctly, and i decided to repaint this model when i finished then. I spent almost a month to built this model because i have a lot of things to do and,still, i have an exam for almost 2 weeks. So i have to make it about only 15 minutes per day, no matter what, because i think, its just a hobby, and i have another responsibilites out there, so i take my time wisely. Its hard to do, but it works!!

Soundwave merupakan salah satu robot di film transformers yang lama. merupakan anak buah dari Megatron, dan dapat berubah menjadi kaset video...(aneh ya....????)

Paper model ini di buat di atas kertas ivory (ada yang mau menyarankan kertas yang lebih baik???), di print di printer canon ip 1300. Lem yang di gunakan ialah lem fox. saya pakai lem ini karena kuat, cepat kering, dan jika kering maka ia tidak berwarna. Jadi bagi saya yang kalo ngelem suka belepotan, tidak begitu kelihatan bekas-bekas lem nya. ya...... yang jelas papercraft pertama ku yang bertema robot sudah jadi.... enjoy....
