Grats To Verum Serum's John Sexton For New Gig At Breitbart.com

By Susan Duclos

Hearty congratulations to John Sexton from the popular blog Verum Serum who announces a new job opportunity to which he has accepted to write for Breitbart.com, the brainchild of the late great Andrew Breitbart.

It was that success that led to a job offer which I’ve accepted. Starting today, I’m very pleased to say I’ll be going to work for Breitbart.com. If you’ve liked what I did here at VS, I hope you’ll join me over there at Breitbart.com. (My twitter handle will remain the same, @verumserum, so that’s one little bit of continuity.) I’ll still be writing about foreign affairs, media bias, and the occasional movie review, plus whatever else catches my attention. It’s going to be fun. There’s nothing better than getting paid to do what you love.

It is always wonderful to see talent rewarded and having read and quoted the writers over at Verum Serum a time or two (or more), I wanted to offer a quick best wishes post.

Head over to read the announcement and supportive comments from John's fellow writers on what could be the last Verum Serum post.

Edited Obama Video Released By Buzzfeed, Breitbart Editors Releasing Full Tape Tonight On Hannity

By Susan Duclos

[Update] Hannity segment with Shapiro and Pollak below:

Evidently as you will see by the quote below, the video footage was deliberately hidden by a Obama supporter in 2008.

Harvard University Law School professor Charles Ogletree admitted that he hid controversial video footage featuring a college-age President Obama speaking at a campus rally in support of a radical professor.

"I hid this during the 2008 campaign," Ogletree said in the video. "I don't care if they find it now."

The entire video was aired exclusively on Hannity by Breitbart.com editor-in-chief Joel Pollak and contributor Ben Shapiro.

Full Hannity transcript of the segment found HERE.

Original post below

Andrew Breitbart, before his untimely death, announced an upcoming release of Obama Harvard tapes, which was confirmed after his death by Steve Bannon on Fox News’ Sean Hannity Show when Bannon said the tapes would be released within the next two weeks.

Today, Buzzfeed has released a portion of a tape, a 1:17 minute video which Breitbart.com's Big Goverment reports as a selectively edited video and they have announced that Breitbart.com Editor-in-Chief Joel Pollak and Editor-at-Large Ben Shapiro will appear on The Sean Hannity Show to discuss the tape as well as the full tape to be released tonight on Fox News' Hannity.

Buzzfeed's selectively edited portion below and we will provide the entire clip after it is released.

Via Breitbart.com/BigGovernment:

The video, which Kaczynski says was “licensed from a Boston television station,” shows a young Barack Obama leading a protest at Harvard Law School on behalf of Prof. Derrick Bell, a radical academic tied to Jeremiah Wright--about whom we will be releasing significant information in the coming hours.

However, the video has been selectively edited--either by the Boston television station or by Buzzfeed itself. Over the course of the day, Breitbart.com will be releasing additional footage that has been hidden by Obama's allies in the mainstream media and academia.

These videos are part of the promise that Breitbart made at CPAC when he said "I have videos, this election we’re going to vet him. We are going to vet him from his college days to show you why racial division and class warfare are central to what hope and change was sold in 2008."

The relaunch of Breitbart.com along with part one of that promised vetting of Barack Obama began earlier this week and we have been assured the release of more information and constant vetting until election day.

[Update] The man that Barack Obama is defending in the video above and evidently in the full video that will be released tonight, is Professor Derrick Bell Jr. and PJ Tatler provides details on just who Bell Jr. was.

[Update] Breitbart.com/BigHollywood also provides more on Bell Jr. and calls him the
"Jeremiah Wright of academia."

Jeremiah Wright was Obama's pastor for decades and more found on him via ABC News.

Obama and race-baiters.

Breitbart's Relaunch: The Vetting, Part I: Barack's Love Song To Alinsky

By Susan Duclos

Breitbart.com has relaunched and now all the Breitbart "Big" sites Big Government, Big Journalism, Big Peace and Big Hollywood can all be easily accessed right from tabs at the top, along with BreitbartTV.

With this relaunching of Breitbart.com comes the one of the last pieces Andrew Breitbart wrote before he so unexpectedly passed away last week, fulfilling a promise Breitbart made when he spoke to the CPAC crowd where he gave clue of what he intended to do this election year in regards to Barack Obama. Breitbart said "I have videos, this election we’re going to vet him. We are going to vet him from his college days to show you why racial division and class warfare are central to what hope and change was sold in 2008."

Earlier this month, on Fox News' Sean Hannity show, Steve Bannon reiterated Andrew Breitbart's CPAC claims that he was in possession of tapes of Barack Obama during his Harvard years and would be releasing them in a week to ten days as well as a new website that Breitbart had been working to launch over the last couple of years.

The relaunch is here and so is part one of the Barack Obama vetting process Breitbart promised everyone and this first segment according to the site, was written by none other than Andrew Breitbart before his untimely death.

We begin with a column Andrew wrote last week in preparation for today’s Big relaunch--a story that should swing the first hammer against the glass wall the mainstream media has built around Barack Obama.

He starts the vetting process, where candidates pasts are looked into to determine the character and leanings of candidates, something the main stream media never bothered to do with Obama, in 1998, and it is fitting that this is the first segment of Breitbart's parting gift.

In 1998, a small Chicago theater company staged a play titled The Love Song of Saul Alinsky, dedicated to the life and politics of the radical community organizer whose methods Obama had practiced and taught on Chicago’s South Side.

Obama was not only in the audience, but also took the stage after one performance, participating in a panel discussion that was advertised in the poster for the play.

Breitbart provides the poster for the play and the press release, both showing the name "Baraka" Obama, then goes on to explain the theme behind the play which was, indeed, a love-fest dedicated to Saul Alinsky and his radical socialist beliefs and how he was the original Occupier.

The play finishes with Alinsky announcing he’d rather go to Hell than Heaven. Why? “More comfortable there. You see, all my life I’ve been with the Have-Nots: here you’re a Have-Not if you’re short of money, there you’re a Have-Not if you’re short of virtue. I’d be asking more questions, organizing them. They’re my kind of people – Hell would be Heaven for me.”

Interesting that when we listen to the Occupiers of today, which Barack Obama incited, then encouraged, to create the Occupy Wall Street movement, we see that very "have" and "have-not" theme being brought to life on a national level.

The first segment in the Obama vetting process ends with Breitbart showing who the other panelists on the stage with Obama were.

Read the whole thing.

In death, Breitbart is still doing more to vet the man we call President, than the traditional media has bothered to do from 2007 to 2012.

Kudos to his team, writers, editors, and staff who are keeping with Breitbart's vision as "guardian protecting Americans from the left’s “objective” loyal scribes. "

[Update] Larry Solov at Big Journalism announces the relaunch:

Dear Readers:

Today, as Andrew dreamed and planned, we launch what he called "Breitbart 2.0."

Many of you wondered what he was working on so hard during the last year of his life. Here it is.

This was Andrew’s design. And it is Big, like everything else about him. It took him – and all of us – sleepless nights and countless hours to make it a reality.

We go forward infused with Andrew's fire, his fight, his humor and his warrior spirit.

His voice lives on now through us and through you - the army of friends and citizen journalist contributors he so deeply inspired and whom he, in turn, admired.

Andrew's battle - our battle - has only just begun.

Video- Breitbart's Obama Harvard Tapes To Be Released In One To Two Weeks

By Susan Duclos

[Update- 3/7/12] Partial release of video by Buzzfeed. Breitbart Editors to release full tape on Hannity tonight. (Video at link)

[Update- March 5, 2012] Let the vetting begin. A piece written by Andrew Breitbart before he passed on. Part one of the Obama vetting process written about on WuA HERE and the full piece over at the relaunched Breitbart.com HERE.

Via MediaIte we see that Fox News’ Sean Hannity interviewed with Steve Bannon who reiterated Andrew Breitbart's CPAC claims that he was in possession of tapes of Barack Obama during his Harvard years and would be releasing them in a week to ten days as well as a new website that Breitbart had been working to launch over the last couple of years.

Andrew Breitbart unexpectedly collapsed and passed away yesterday, but had indicated the existence of the Obama tapes in his CPAC speech and Bannon told Hannity that Breitbart had been "very systematic" about going through them and now others were continuing.

Bannon: "Look, there's a set of tapes and we're going through it, the staffing, he [Breitbart] attracted fighters, he attracted guys like Joe Pollack and Ben Shapiro and Larry O'Connor. Guys are going through a series of tapes of President Obama, um, at Harvard, and we'll come back to you in a week or two and show them here on the Hannity show."

Video below:

Breitbart from his CPAC speech: "We are going to vet him from his college days to show you why racial division and class warfare are central to what hope and change was sold in 2008."

"The videos are going to come out, the narrative is going to come out, that Barack Obama met a bunch of silver ponytails in the 1980s, like Bill (Ayers) and Bernadine (Dohrn), who said one day we would have the presidency, and the rest of us slept as they plotted, and they plotted, and they plotted and they oversaw hundreds of millions of dollars in the Annenberg Challenge and they had real money, from real capitalists. Then they became communists. We got to work on that. That is a parenthesis. Barack Obama is a radical, we should not be afraid to say that! Okay? And Barack Obama was launched from Bill and Bernadine’s salon. I’ve been there."

The Breitbart and Cebull post.

“How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours. ”  ~Wayne Dyer~

I hear you Mr. Dyer, but I thought about another quote after learning of the death of Andrew Breitbart: "The soul that has conceived one wickedness can nurse no good thereafter."

I would like to remind everyone of the actions of Andrew Breitbart following the death of Teddy Kennedy. He immediately took to twitter and said the most evil vile things about the man before his body had even turned cold.

If there is really a place called hell I am quite sure that Andrew Breitbart is there right now.  The good news for Andrew is that he can join his friend Lee Atwater and maybe try to run the devils campaign to take over the world.

Honestly, for all of you people whose lives were destroyed by this despicable prick, I would love to join you for long slow waltz on his grave.

Finally, my racism chase takes me all across the country to the wonderful state of Montana.

I am sure you all have heard by now about the federal Judge who was caught sending racist e-mails which made fun of the president of the United States.

Of course this comes as no surprise to those of us who understand the nature of certain folks here in A-merry-ca. But this is not some red neck in an Alabama trailer park; this is a senior FEDERAL JUDGE. If that doesn't send a wakeup call to you Negroes in "post-racial" A-merry-ca, I don't know what will.

As is always the case, the judge is now sorry that he is being seen as a racist. I am sure that if he didn't live in Montana he would tell us that some of his best friends are....you know. He only meant his ignorant hateful e-mail towards Obama because of his profound disdain for the man. (BTW, that profound disdain is building. If O wins four more years they will have to double the Secret Service budget.)

"Richard Cebull, chief US district judge in the state of Montana, said he sent the email to a small group of friends because he is opposed to Obama. He acknowledged it was racist, but denied being racist himself.

"Normally I don't send or forward a lot of these, but even by my standards, it was a bit touching. I want all of my friends to feel what I felt when I read this," said the email containing the offensive joke.

The judge admitted that he sent the email to six "old buddies," the paper reported.

"It was not intended by me in any way to become public," Cebull said. "I apologize to anybody who is offended by it, and I can obviously understand why people would be offended."

"The only reason I can explain it to you is I am not a fan of our president, but this goes beyond not being a fan," he added. "I didn't send it as racist, although that's what it is. I sent it out because it's anti-Obama."

And here is the truly hilarious part:

"I have never considered myself that way," he said. "All I can emphasize is I've treated people in my courtroom all these years fairly. I don't think I've ever demonstrated racism. Nobody has ever even implied it." [Source]

Yes, I am sure that all those black people who came before you in Montana will attest to that.

RIP- Andrew Breitbart (1969-2012)

By Susan Duclos

Conservative activist and creator of Big Hollywood, Big Journalism, Big Government, BreitbartTV, author of Righteous Indignation, Andrew Breitbart, passed away after midnight this morning in Los Angeles.

Larry Solov published the Memoriam:

With a terrible feeling of pain and loss we announce the passing of Andrew Breitbart.

Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles.

We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior.

Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love.

Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:

I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and—famously—I enjoy making enemies.

Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. I’ve lost friends, perhaps dozens. But I’ve gained hundreds, thousands—who knows?—of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night.

Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of us.

[Update] Via Gateway Pundit- HATING BREITBART #CPAC12 TRAILER (video below)

Breitbart made a habit of retweeting the unbelievably unhinged tweets sent to him from far left liberals and Michelle Malkin assures us that even in death Breitbart is "exposing the hate-filled intolerance of the tolerance poseurs."

Malkin shows some disturbing examples of liberals rejoicing over Breitbarts death, just as Breitbart would have done himself.

Campaign 2012 shows some other examples liberals celebrating Breitbart's death.

Dave Lartigue ‏ @daveexmachina : Andrew Breitbart has died. Honestly, good riddance. He helped poison the country where I live and we are better off without him.

Lalo Alcaraz ‏ @laloalcaraz RT @Mfusion66: RIP Breitbart? Nah, too good to be true

vtred ‏ @vtred1 : Good riddance to Andrew Breitbart - a McCarthyite nutcase.

Gene Moore ‏ @gene_moore : So it begins... #Breitbart RT Good riddance, a truly dispecable person.

Sean Paul Kelley ‏ @seanpaulkelley Andrew Breitbart has died: bigjournalism.com/lsolov/2012/03… If so, good riddance.

So many more examples at the links above.

Almost every news site that allows comments are showing the same type of liberal anger and hatred, from Fox to CNN.

Breitbart once again gets the last laugh because even in death he is exposing the vitriolic nature of the far left liberals.

Jonah Goldberg, shown on Breitbart TV, describes Breitbart as "One Of The Most Fearless People I Ever Knew."

[Update] Sarah Palin, via Facebook, on the loss of Andrew Breitbart:

We are all stunned and saddened by the news of Andrew Breitbart’s passing. Andrew was a warrior who stood on the side of what was right. He defended what was right. He defended the defenseless.

It is so sad to consider his four young children who have lost their dad. All our prayers are with his family now. May God comfort his wife and children.

Many of us will have life-long memories of our work or encounters with Andrew. May we draw on those to help forward the cause of fighting for what is right. For me, just one of those memories was in Pella, Iowa, last year after the premier of “The Undefeated.” Andrew held court in the restaurant at the local hotel talking about his favorite topic: how “culture is upstream of politics” and how conservatives must be unafraid to fight the leftwing media, cultural, and political establishments. The loss of his voice in this fight will be deeply felt, but thankfully his work lives on at his “Bigs,” and thank God for his inspiration and leadership.

God bless you, Andrew. Rest in peace, friend. We will continue the fight.

- Sarah Palin

[Update] GOProud issued the following statement:

(Washington, D.C.) – This morning, it was announced that conservative media mogul Andrew Breitbart had passed away. In response Christopher R. Barron and Jimmy LaSalvia, Co-Founders of GOProud – an organization of gay and straight Americans seeking to promote freedom by supporting free markets, limited government, and a respect for individual rights –released the following joint statement:

“We are stunned and saddened at the passing of Andrew Breitbart – a real hero of the conservative movement. Andrew was an amazing friend and ally to this organization. When we faced some of our toughest days, it was Andrew who was willing to come to our aide and fight for us and for what was right. We wouldn’t be the organization we are today without the help of Andrew Breitbart.

“On a personal level, we want to express our deepest condolences to Andrew’s family and friends. They are in our thoughts and in our prayers.”

[Update] Monica Crowley writes a lovely piece:

Andrew Breitbart---visionary, warrior, pioneer, entrepreneur, patriot, friend, husband, father---passed away today. He was 43.

I deeply admired his fearlessness, his passion, his full embrace of life, his love for his kids and wife, and was so grateful for his friendship. He was a ball to be around: full of laughter, always smiling, always with a twinkle in his eye.

The conservative movement has lost one of its heroes, but the gutsy framework and go-get-'em attitude he inspired---as well as his unwavering desire to tell the truth---lives on, and we'll all carry it forward.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Arianna Huffington, the editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post Media Group, also paid tribute:

I was asked many times this morning for my thoughts on what Andrew meant to the political world, but all I can think of at the moment is what Andrew meant to me as a friend, starting from when we worked together -- his passion, his exuberance, his fearlessness. And above all, what I'm thinking of at the moment is his amazing wife Susie and their four beautiful young children. My love and thoughts are with them right now.

Our sympathies to his wife and four children.

RIP Andrew Breitbart.

Enough of Weinergate, let's talk about Elmo.

I was hoping this was the end of Weinergate, but apparently everyone wants to get in their 15 minutes of fame before we can finally call it a wrap.- Ginger Lee, we see you.- Andrew Breitfart is peddling his book, so this couldn't come at a better time for him. I wonder if he talked about all the deviant s&^% he did while he was at Tulane? (I am not just talking partying and drinking.) I sure hope so. No one wants to read a sanitized version of the truth.

The guy was everywhere today, and he was gloating over his latest liberal scalp. It must be nice.

And why not? Even mainstream news organizations want to get into the act.( ABC paid how much to license those photos?)

Anthony, you should have listened to me and came clean. This would have been over days ago.

Anyway, I hope you don't resign. If David Vitter can pay a prostitute to have sex with him and still get reelected in very red Louisiana I am sure that you will be fine with your constituents. Don't listen to the hypocrites on the right calling for you to step down. Ask them why they weren't saying the same thing when Vitter was faking a public apology and going all Jimmy Swaggart on television. At least you apologized; Vitter, on the other hand, not so much. Diapers Mr. Vitter?! Now there is a freak.

Anthony, call another press conference tomorrow and tell A-merry-ca that you will resign if David Vitter resigns and let's see where the chips fall. Who knows? He just might do the right thing and do what his predecessor -another hypocrite from Louisiana- did in the midst of the Clinton Lewinsky scandal, but I doubt it.

Finally, just when you thought that wingnuts couldn't get any nuttier, they do.

Now they are attacking Elmo for being a liberal and having an "evil conservative bias". And what's really pissing off my friends on the right is that they believe that the Sesame Street gang is dumbing down black and Latino children. Yes, you read that correctly. Not a poor family structure, not a lack of a proper education, and not a lack of proper resources in their homes; but Sesame Street.

Still, I am disappointed. I was hoping that the Cookie Monster was the most liberal of the bunch. He is my favorite. [Story]
